Raltin recently conducted an analysis of credit card survey data and found that Utah Community Federal Credit Union has the lowest APR in the country, at 7.75 percent. This analysis was conducted using data from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which requires all credit card companies to fill out a standard survey. Through this tool, the organization obtains key information such as the institution’s APR, late payment fees, index, grace period, and other variables. APR is the annual percentage rate that indicates the interest you pay for borrowing money on your credit card. Second in the list of banks offering low APRs is Northwest Bank, at 8.74 percent, and 1st Summit Bank comes in third at 8.75 percent. All the plans assessed were signed on in 2017.
