Raltin found in a recent analysis that Apple Rewards Visa card offered by Barclays Bank Delaware has reduced its grace period from 23 days in July 2017, to 0 days in January 2018. Grace period is the number of additional days the consumer is entitled to for paying off his/her balance, from the time they receive their bill. This reduction is the most in the last 4 years of this card's history. The study was conducted using data from the Consumer Protection Financial Bureau, which asks credit card companies to fill out a standard survey detailing about the institution’s APR, grace period, annual fees and other variables.
Raltin’s analysis of credit card information from January 2014 revealed that the grace period had remained a constant (23 days) from January 2015 to July 2017, until its most recent change in January 2018.
